Our library is the Cita Dennis Hubbell Branch of the New Orleans Public Library. It is a Carnegie library dating from 1907, and the city's oldest public library. See the history page for more details on that.

The library is presently closed for emergency structural repairs. At this writing a temporary location is being sought. See the status page for updates.

This is a volunteer Web site in support of the Hubbell Library. It provides general information about the library, and can serve as a forum for the Hubbell Library community. It is not affiliated with the New Orleans Public Library (NOPL) or the City of New Orleans. The official NOPL Web site is neworleanspubliclibrary.org. To search for books, periodicals or other library holdings you'll need to go to NOPLine.
